HatDrop is built and run by TopHatMedia, a studio in San Antonio, Texas.
Most delivery software is built by people who have never dispatched a driver. HatDrop started the other way round — as the system behind a local delivery business that needed dispatch, live driver tracking, age verification and card payments because it was doing all of that every day.
The parts that matter are unglamorous. Delivery pricing has to be right at the edge of your area or a long run costs you money. A driver's phone has to keep reporting where it is on a bad signal. An age check has to hold, because letting one through is the kind of mistake that costs a licence. Those problems get solved differently when you are the one answering the phone.
HatDrop grew from the need to make local delivery easier to run, not just easier to order from. Every store gets its own workspace — your orders, customers, drivers and pricing are yours, kept separate from every other business on the platform.
The other decision was to keep it simple to buy. One monthly fee per store, support included, no commission on what you sell. Your team looks after the shop; HatDrop looks after the delivery software.

Every store runs the same software, so improvements reach your business as they land — not whenever someone gets round to your version.
Your data is yours
Products, customers, orders and history. If you leave, we export it in a usable format. No hostage-taking.
We don't touch your revenue
Card payments go to your own account, in your business's name. We help you get set up and take none of it.
No per-order commission
You pay for the software, not a percentage of what you sell.

Straight talk
What we're not going to tell you
We are not going to quote you a customer count, a conversion-rate lift or a delivery cost saving. Those numbers exist on competitors' sites because they have the customer base to back them. We are early, and a figure you cannot verify is worth nothing to you anyway.
What we will do is show you the platform running with your products in it, on a call, and let you decide.
We also are not going to tell you what your legal obligations are. They vary by state, licence and product, and we are not your lawyer. The platform gives you the controls; you set them to match your own advice. See compliance for how we think about that line.
